SHARK'S EYE VIEW A BIRTHDAY PARTY TO REMEMBER

This party looks at a variety of fish, but it's star is the Bamboo Shark.  It's a small type of shark that few people have ever heard of. Since there are 3000 different kinds of sharks most people have never heard of most sharks. This one lives in coral reefs half way around the world where the Pacific and Indian Oceans meet. Our birthday party program will focus on this wonderful, rather peaceful, little “jaws” in a shark, fish and invertebrate party no one will soon forget.

PARTY ANIMALS

We’ll look at his world of ocean and his home of coral.  We’ll use a magnifying video camera hooked up to a large monitor, to get really up close on his neighborhood animals like the urchin and the sea star. Then take a look at his fishy cousins the clown fish and the tang, and see how they survive. His competitor in the coral, the moray eel will also be shown and discussed.

Finally the Bamboo shark herself, will top the program. We’ll talk plainly about how sharks live and their unbelievable importance to the oceans. You’ll have a chance to see the workings of a shark jaw full of teeth. And get as close as you like; even reach out and touch the shark. Something very few people will ever be able to do to these amazing creatures. And as a special gift we’ll give you a shark tooth to remember us by.
