| The blue tongued skink, though a few types are still expensive, has become a very popular reptile pet due to it's attractive coloring, (not least of which is a cobalt blue tongue,) moderate size, tolerant attitude and wide diet choices. But in the wilds of northern Australia that attractive tongue serves a very important purpose. It's supposed to scare you off, but many ask, how is that possible?
