 Do your kids love baby animals? If they do, this is the show for you…BUT!! Remember that this is Snakes-N-Scales’ babies animals, so we’re bringing a baby Yellow Anaconda, a baby American Alligator, a baby Kingsnake, a baby Red-Eared Slider and a baby Snapping Turtle. And we’re going to bring a few adults too, so you can see the HUGE difference! As always this show will both entertain and educate everyone. We’ll talk about how the little ones make it in this big world and what they are like as adults. Many, but not all, of these animals can be touched. (And we cannot guarantee any specific animal, babies are harder to keep.)

Bugs and spiders, along with frogs and snakes, are thought to be “icky” by many people. But the amazing animals in this show will make you forget your discomfort! The Madagascar Hissing Cockroach of “Fear Factor” fame, is just a lot of air and really nothing to be afraid of. Tarantulas are actually hairy, peace loving creatures, scorpions glow in the dark, (Yes really!) Frogs swallow food with their eyes and toads are poisonous.

 Something different, this program isn’t entirely live animals. In this show we will discuss Dinosaurs and other ancient creatures using fossils, replicas and living animals. We will find out how Paleontologists learn about extinct animals; by comparing what they find to living animals.   The fossils will include a dino bone, a giant shark’s tooth, a T. Rex tooth, a fossil dino poop called a coprolite and a mystery item. And everyone is invited to touch!  The living animals will be an American Alligator, which is an Archosaur, a member of the same group as the Dinosaurs. A weird, side-necked turtle called a Crocodile Turtle, that has some unusual habits. And as a finale, a Boa Constrictor, which is one of the oldest living snakes. As always, fun and entertainment will accompany the education of all!

 Snakes are the most feared animals on Earth, yet in spite of this, or perhaps because of it, they are a very popular group of animals to watch, study or own. This show looks at some very different kinds of non-venomous snakes; one from the trees that catches birds, one from under ground that eats mice and one from the water that eats everything!; one they call “king,” though he doesn't deserve it and one they say likes cows! And a giant snake that is one of the biggest of them all. We’ll talk about how they live with no legs, one lung, and no eye lids, what they eat, and what they don't eat, and why so many people go screaming into the night when they see one! Because they are all Fasssssscinating Sssssnakesssss! |
