THE STRANGE WORLD OF REPTILES
In this program, the four main groups of reptiles; crocodilians, turtles, lizards and snakes are looked at. This program focuses getting the children to gently touch the animals and not be afraid. Mostly small non-threatening animals are used. There is an American Alligator but it is always a juvenile and is only touched by our instructor. We will talk about the life stories of the individual animals, fun facts, what the different parts of the body are for and tell stories from the animals’ eye-view.

KINGDOM OF THE COLDBLOODS
This program is similar to the “The Strange World Of Reptiles” except that the amphibians, frogs and toads, are added. (Due to the irritants these animals produce on their skin they are only touched by our instructors.)

THE GOOD, THE ICKY AND THE SLIMY (FOR PRE-K & K)
Insects and arachnids, (bugs and spiders) along with frogs and snakes are thought to be "icky" by many people. But did you know that only girl spiders spin webs? Or that frogs are the craziest creatures due to how they drink? Did you know that snakes don’t blink? The facts about these creatures are even stranger than the fictions people have created! This show studies the Madagascar Hissing roach, tarantula, millipede, frogs and snakes; the last of which is a 7-9 ft Burmese python. The roach, millipede and snakes can be touched by all!!

POND LIFE
Wonder about what lives in the water!! How do they do it? Frogs and turtles and alligators all swim differently, eat differently and live differently but they all “hang out” at the pond. This show includes live swimming demonstrations of these animals, so class size (ideally) should not exceed 50 students.

Rescue-A-Reptile

Not only do we have a great selection of programs for your school with hundreds of animals, curriculum help, vocabulary and activities, but we also offer Rescue-A-Reptile for the class or school— Snakes-N-Scales is unlike all other organizations of it’s kind because the animals we use are unwanted orphans that we have rescued. In some cases the animal simply needed a home and some care, but in many cases it needed medicine, surgery or more. We now give you an opportunity to join us in our mission. You may choose which animal you’d like to have as your class mascot, receive a color photo, personal story, lesson plan and some other helpful gifts from Snakes-N-Scales. Perhaps you may even be able to have the animal visit your class!! (Snakes-N-Scales is not a non-profit organization and your purchase of a sponsorship is not tax deductible.)
